Practice Charter

We offer :
A courteous and friendly welcome at our front desk by a  receptionist. Our receptionists are normally your first contact during surgery hours, whether calling by telephone or visiting the surgery, and are skilled in helping you. You are guaranteed confidentiality at all times. If you wish to speak to any member of the team privately, please ask. 

 

Patients will be offered :
An urgent appointment the same day for an urgent problem. If you wish to see a specific doctor this may take longer.

 

Surgery Times
Surgeries and clinics will normally start on time and we aim to see you within 30 minutes of your appointment time. Please appreciate that delays are sometimes unavoidable but when this happens we will try to keep you informed.

 

Home visits
If, for reason of ill health, you cannot reach the surgery, urgent calls will be responded to as soon as possible and on urgent calls on the same day, if possible. Please ring before 10.00am. In an emergency  we can be contacted at all times, day and night.

 

Referrals
Routine referral letters will be despatched, or will be ready for collection, within one week of the referral having been agreed with the doctor.

 

Premises and facilities:
Premises and facilities will be kept clean, comfortable, safe and easily accessible premises to all patients.

 

Instruments and equipment
The instruments and equipment we use are regularly serviced and, where appropriate calibrated to ensure accuracy.

 

Comments / Complaints
We welcome comments and suggestions with regard to the practice and we are also happy to discuss any suggestions with you. If you have any complaints  about the practice, you should contact the Practice Manager. These will be fully investigated and dealt with promptly. We encourage patients to participate in periodic questionnaires to promote open communication and to help us provide for your needs.
